   Opening FLA File in Flash

An FLA file (that with a .fla extension) is the source, or editable version of the Flash movie. From here you can modify your template and produce SWF files for presentation via the web. To work with FLA files, you should have Macromedia Flash MX 6 or higher installed on your computer.

To open FLA file in Flash, you should select File > Open from top menu and browse to your FLA file. Another more simple way to open file is to drag and drop it from file browser to your Flash window. Also you can just double click .fla file in your file browser and this file will be opened in Macromedia Flash.
